The city of Naples deserves a separate chapter as rich in art, history and culture that hides and preserves in every corner of its squares, streets and buildings.

Even its subsoil is rich in wonders and mysteries.

Capital of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, until the Unification of Italy, Naples is the oldest Italian metropolis (even of the same Rome), as to found it were the Greeks. Its historical-artistic stratification, due to the succession of the various dominations over the centuries, and today found in many of its buildings, makes it one of the most beautiful and fascinating cities in the world. Its historical center, in fact, is among the largest and its beauties to visit are so many.

In the city you can also visit two of the most important Italian museums, such as the National Archaeological Museum and the Capodimonte Museum.

North of Naples, in the area of volcanic origin of the Phlegrean Fields we find still other sites, both archaeological and naturalistic, really very interesting, such as the Archaeological Complex of Baia, which includes the submerged Park of Baia, which together with the Park submerged by Gaiola (still in Naples in the Posillipo area), they represent a unique example, in the Mediterranean area, of archaeological and underwater naturalistic protection. It should also be mentioned the archaeological site of Cuma, not to mention the city of Pozzuoli, also rich in historical finds from the Roman era.

In the extreme south of the city, on the other hand, there is the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, set up, after careful restoration work, in one of the most important Italian industrial archeology complexes: the Real Opificio Meccanico, Pirotecnico and for the Locomotives, founded by Ferdinand II of Bourbon in 1840.
